MONDAY’S WAR SPORTS!

A great weekend in the NFL during Wild Card Weekend.  Find out if Woody was all fired up about the Bronco’s beating his Steelers last night.  The Blues are on FIRE right now.  Can we see Jeff Fisher on the Ram’s Sideline next year?  All that and much more during today’s Discount Sports
>>NFL playoff action kicked off this weekend with the Wildcard round. Saturday’s game pretty much played out as expected. The Texans beat the Bengals and the Saints embarassed the Lions. Drew Breese threw from 466 yards and was lights out. Then Sunday came along and the Giants/Falcons game ended with a very odd final score. The Giants got the win with a 24-2 win over the Falcons. Then came the night game – the Steelers were down by ten with 10 minutes to go and rallied back to send the game to overtime…and then Tim Tebow tossed an 80 yard touchdown on the very first play to win the game 29-23. Tebow actually looked like a legit QB and threw for over 300 yards and scored a rushing TD as well. So next weekend it’ll be Denver vs. New England, Houston vs. Baltimore, New Orleans vs. San Francisco, and The Giants agains the Packers.
>>The Rams may have a new head coach before the end of the week. Jeff Fisher has said that he has narrowed his decision to either the Rams or the Dolphins and will make the announcement hopefully by the end of the week. Now – Fisher met yesterday with Sam Bradford and toured the Rams practice facility and said one of the main reason he is leaning towards the Rams is he believes Sam Bradford has the potential to be an elite NFL QB. Again – an announcement is expected by the end of the week.
>>On Saturday the Blues beat the Avalanche 4-0 and are now in first place in the Central Division and will take on the Canadiens on Tuesday in Motreal.
>>Nationally Ranked at #7 – Mizzou Basketball suffered their first loss over the weekend after getting beat by Kansas State. They look to bounce back against Iowa State on Wednesday in Iowa.
>>Boxer FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. was sentenced to 90 days in jail for beating up his baby-mama. But the judge let him postpone the sentence until June 1st so that he can train for his May 5th fight in Vegas.
>>And finally – the BCS Championship game is tonight between LSU and Alabama. Kickoff is on ESPN at 7PM.
