The DEA just released their data on the top METH-PRODUCING STATES of 2011. You know where this is going, right? The rankings are based on meth lab seizures for the year. And……..#1 on the list……with a total of 2,096 meth labs busted in 2011 . . . that’s an average of 5.74 meth labs PER DAY is……..(drum roll please) MISSOURI!
DON’T METH WITH MISSOURI!
And a special mention to our friends in Jefferson County……where there were more meth busts than in the states of Texas, Florida, and California COMBINED! The rest of the top 10 meth-producing states are Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The state of Missouri has spoken out against the rankings. They say you can’t really measure a state’s meth production by the number of busts . . . all that shows is that they’re more aggressive in shutting down meth labs.
