Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Thursday condemned newly revealed photographs that show U.S. soldiers posing with the bloodied remains of three suicide bombers, calling the pictures “disgusting.” Karzai also warned in a statement that “similar incidents of an odious nature” in the past sparked angry reactions from Afghans, including violent protests that left dozens dead. “It is such a disgusting act to take photos with body parts and then share it with others,” Karzai said. The photos were published in Wednesday’s Los Angeles Times. One shows members of the 82nd Airborne Division posing in 2010 with Afghan police holding the severed legs of a suicide bomber. The same platoon a few months later was sent to investigate the remains of three insurgents reported to have accidentally blown themselves up — and soldiers again posed and mugged for a photo with the remains, the newspaper said. The police chief in O’Fallon, says an officer was justified in shooting a naked man who allegedly attacked the officer. The suspect, 21-year-old Scott Davis Jr. of St. James, Mo., is hospitalized but expected to survive. A woman who was allegedly attacked by the suspect is hospitalized with serious head injuries. The officer had minor injuries. Police were called around 2 a.m. Wednesday to a Trailer Park in O’Fallon for a report of a man out of control, apparently after taking drugs. When police arrived the naked man allegedly reached for an officer’s gun, grabbed a stun gun instead, and struck the officer with it. He also allegedly bit the officer’s face. Davis faces several charges, including first-degree assault, armed criminal action, forcible rape and assault on law enforcement, first degree. Davis’ bond has been set at $500,000.

I think most little boys imagine we can shoot bullets (or laser beams) out of our fingers at some point in our lives. But around the ripe old age of six, we realize that it’s never going to happen. Try telling that to this guy who robbed a 7 Eleven store in Florida, brandishing nothing but a ‘finger pistol’. According to ABC Action News, a 42-year-old man was shopping in convenience store when other customers noticed him shoving items into his clothing. When a store employee started watching him, he yelled, “Why are you watching me?” And then proceeded to make the ‘gun’ shape with his fingers and point his imaginary weapon at people in the store while yelling, “I know You!” He left the store with a cheeseburger, a Four Loko drink, a Red Bull and condoms. Sounds like he was ready to party.

A 42 year old dude from Key West covered from head to toe in ketchup laid down in the middle road while yelling and cursing about how tourists are ruining the town.  He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Three people accused of killing at least three women in the northeastern Brazilian state of Pernambuco said they ate some of their victims’ flesh and also used it to make the empanadas they sold to their neighbors, police said Friday. The accused, a man and two women, were arrested Wednesday in Garanhuns, 234 kilometers (145 miles) from Recife, the state capital, and said they belonged to a sect that received orders from a “voice” to do away with women they considered evil. The suspects confessed to the homicides, cannibalism and grisly rituals during police interrogations, some details of which were released at a press conference Friday by the officer leading the investigation. Police found the mortal remains of the two women in the patio of the suspects’ house, which was burned down Thursday by their enraged neighbors.
