A  woman is facing numerous charges after police say she caused a chase while under the influence of drugs.  Cops got a call around 7:00 Friday night about a possible intoxicated driver. A short time later, an officer noticed the vehicle going down the road in Seymour with no taillights and tried pull over the vehicle. Police said Christy Clayton, 27, then sped away and led officers on a chase, despite crashing into items along the way. A police report says Clayton eventually pulled over at a house, and when an officer tried to arrest her, she suddenly sped toward the police cruiser. The officer was able to swerve to barely avoid getting hit. Additional officers then joined the chase, which came to an end when Clayton crashed into a ditch. Police said she initially put her hands up and surrendered as officers approached her, but changed her mind and ran off. Clayton fell into a ditch a short distance later and was arrested and taken to a hospital. IS SHE WORTHY OF THE GALLERY?!  VOTE HERE!

FAMILY NOT MAD ABOUT NO CPR
No criminal charges will be filed in connection with the death of an 87-year-old woman after she was denied CPR at her retirement home, Bakersfield, Calif., police said tonight. Authorities opened an investigation Monday when Lorraine Bayless’ death attracted national attention after a seven-minute 911 call surfaced in which the caller declined to administer CPR. “A thorough review was conducted of all the facts surrounding the case. The investigation revealed that no criminal statutes had been violated,” Bakersfield Police Department officials said in a news release. The 911 call revealed a staff member at the Glendale Gardens independent living facility refusing to perform CPR or find someone else to perform CPR on Bayless after she collapsed.

IT’S HAMMER TIME!
When you hear this story and then see this guy’smug shot…it makes it so much better. Darron Lynn Koenig from Texas was at his job as a construction worker when he just flat out snapped.  Darron started grabbing hammers and launching them at other guys on the jobsite.  He fled the scene and eventually barricade himself inside of a tool shed at his house.  Cops showed up and subdued the man after using tear gas and a good ole tazing.  He’s also got quite the history with the cops.  He was arrested previously for attack a neighbor, and assaulting a police officer.  You have to see this guy’s MUGSHOT though.  WTF?!

500 DAYS…IN SPACE…WITH A WOMAN!
A nonprofit foundation wants to recruit a man and a woman – possibly a married couple – for a bare-bones, 501-day journey to Mars and back that would start in less than five years, project organizers said on Wednesday. The mission, expected to cost upwards of $1 billion, would be privately financed by donations and sponsorships.

POP-PIE’S BREAK IN
Back in February, a 62 year old guy broke into a Popeyes Chicken in Baltimore , and unfortunately was busted by the cops.  But, in a total Patrico-esq move…he didn’t steal any cash.  This guy busted in, and must have really loved the pies at Popeyes, because he downed 16 pieces of pie, ate some applesauce, and drank a bottle of water….and then took a nap.  Because he fell asleep after eating all the pie, it made it very easy for cops to arrest him.

MAN SHOOTS AT SHOPLIFTER
Police arrested a central Florida man who shot at the car of a fleeing shoplifting suspect in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Orange City police say Jose Manuel Martinez was charged with aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle on Wednesday. Eddie Mckee stacked steaks and ribs into his cart and tried to leave the store without paying. But he ran when a security officer followed him. Martinez told police he joined the chase. And when he couldn’t stop Mckee, he pulled a 9 mm handgun and shot four times at the vehicle, saying he wanted to “mark the car” for police. Martinez has a concealed weapons permit. No one was injured, but Martinez and Mckee ended up in the Volusia County Jail.
